Radical POV.

Co-directing, research and edit. Conventional documentaries often end up filming their own filmsets, they film a scene of a scene with a camera. « Portrait of Nowness « on the other hand is a radical POV project by Juri Rechinsky and Mario: By handing cameras to the protagonists themselves, the film makes the apparatus disappear and we have the rare occasion to see life unfiltered: an African schoolgirl, a Buddhist novice in the Himalayas, a Ukrainian soldier at the frontline, a mother on the day of birth and many more. A 90-minute feature – a collective self-portrait of the present moment, a participatory experiment, 400 hours of material in more than ten languages - Juri and me survived. Release 2025/2026.
